Introduction Profile

  • Taiten (Guhen) Kitaoka was born in Tanabe, Wakayama, Japan, in 1956.
  • After graduated from Waseda University in 1981, he went to the Sahara Desert in North Africa (Algeria), working for such companies as Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Marubeni, C. Itoh, and Mitsui Ship, as a Japanese/French interpreter, between 1981 and 1986 (a total of 36 months).
  • Between 1983 and 1985, he participated in a 7 month intensive psychotherapy course (a total number of session hours was over 1,700 hours) in Oregon, USA. This course covered practically all the Western psychotherapy schools including Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Humanistic Psychology, Encounter, Primal, Psychosynthesis, etc.
  • Taiten lived in London, UK, from 1986 until the summer of 2002. During this period, in London, he provided professional & executive coaching services for managers, executives, and sports persons, and worked as a cross-cultural communications consultant and interpreter. His past clients include: the Princess Royal, the International Rescue Corps, a relative to Winston Churchill, and Max Mosley (the President of FIA). (Photo 1)
  • In 1988 he graduated from the School of Hypnosis & Advanced Psychotherapy (SHAP) in London.
  • In 1988 and 1989, he was certified as Practitioner and Master Practitioner of the Art of NLP, at GDA (Grinder, DeLozier & Associates), California, USA. (Photo 2)
  • He was licensed as Licensed Trainer of NLP by the Society of NLP (Richard Bandler), in Munich. (1995) (Photo 3)
  • In June and July 2002, Taiten was certified in the Trainers' Training Course at NLPU, and also authorized in the Authorization Course for holding Practitioner Courses with the NLPU materials, at NLP University (Robert Dilts), California, USA. (Photo 4)
  • In 2001 and 2002, he delivered a total of 4 week senior sales training for Japanese staff of the subsidiary in Japan (Kyoto) of Dako, a Danish vitro-diagnostic company, as a Japanese trainer of JS Riggio International Inc. in USA.
  • He is currently an associate trainer to a California-based consultant company, Isvor Dilts Leadership Systems.
  • Managing Director of Creativity Enhancement Ltd. in UK.
  • He is currently a member of the ANLP in Britain, and also a member of the NLP University, the Global NLP Training & Consulting Community.
  • Taiten intends to hold NLP Practitioner Courses with the materials authorized by the NLP University (California, USA) in Japan. There are currently 21 trainers in the world who are authorized to use the logo of NLPU. (Photo 5) Taiten is the only Japanese NLP trainer who has been properly trained by the most important four co-developers of NLP (Grinder, Bandler, Dilts and DeLozier).
